Job DescriptionThe Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at UMB invites applications for a non-tenure track position in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and interdisciplinary academic community committed to advancing research, education, and service in subspeciality gynecology. The selected candidate will serve as a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon (MIGS) within the Department , with an active inpatient and outpatient practice focused on the evaluation and surgical treatment of complex benign gynecologic conditions.

Position Information
Position Title: Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon, Non-Tenure Track
Department/Division/School: Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences/MIGS/University of Maryland School of Medicine
Salary Range: $285,000-$315,000
Background Checks

Key Responsibilities
The faculty member is expected to serve the University in areas of teaching, research, and clinical service appropriate to their professional training and capabilities and their career goals. Primary clinical responsibilities would be participation in all the clinical activities of the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at University of Maryland particularly its clinical activities at the Midtown Clinic and University of Maryland Medical Center Hospitals. The faculty member would be expected to deliver excellent care to patients while growing and expanding access for gynecological patients to the department clinical practices. Faculty are expected to participate in group call averaging 4-6 weeks per year providing consultative weekend and night coverage. Participation in call coverage may change as part of programmatic development within the Division and as part of the Complex Benign Gynecologic Surgery program. Faculty are also expected to demonstrate outstanding activity in the teaching aspects of the Department. Specifically, this will include:
- Providing teaching instruction and supervision to residents, and medical students in Gynecology
- Providing lectures to residents and medical students as requested
- Attending Grand Rounds, M&M Conferences, Journal Club, Division meetings and other Departmental activities
- Participating in mentorship of residents, and medical students
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Qualified candidates must have a terminal degree (MD or DO)
- Successfully completed a 4-year ACGME accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in obstetrics and gynecology
- Fellowship training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) is required
- Licensure by Maryland Board of Physician will be required prior to commencement of employment
