A medical center in southern Mississippi has an opening for a skilled OB/GYN to provide locum call coverage.

Opening Details:

• Schedule: 24-hour call
• Duties: Inpatient rounding, emergency and scheduled c-sections, and vaginal deliveries
• Annual Volume: 1,000 deliveries
• Monthly Volume: 67-100 deliveries
• Support Staff: Pediatrician, hospitalist, NPs, ANX on call
• EMR: Cerner
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered OB/GYN Mississippi state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited OB/GYN program
• One year of work experience as OB/GYN
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
